Even before you are born your information is stored in files and they are always there. When you are born you get a birth certificate holding your time of birth, gender and features. After you’re dead your files are still in existence. Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter help to greatlyadd to your digital dossier. A digital dossier is a giant group of files that stores photos and informationabout you put out onto the web. Google your name and home town and see what comes up. When i did I got my facebook homepage.I am a member of Facebook and Twitter which means my dossier has been added to. When you join sites they often ask for information that is most likely unnecessary. I don’t always give out all the information and if I absoultely have to fill it in I add improper information. A good way to look at your digital dossier is to compare it to footprints in sand being left behind by you. Currently I am leaving many behind. Are you? Learning about digital dossiers has made me more aware to whats happening. does this make you more aware?
What can you do to leave minimum information about you behind?

In class we are learning a little bit about a famous Artist named Jackson Pollock but he goes by Jack the Dripper. He got the name Jack the Dripper because he paintings are splatter paint. There are seven elements that Jack uses Texture, Value, Space, shape, form, colour, and line.
Texture is how smooth or rough the painting is which makes the painting look unique. Jackson Pollock used lots of different textures in his work. He would but string or pieces of broken glass in his paintings. Value is the shade of a colour. A colour can be the same colour in different shades without being classified as a different colour.Space is an illusion of distance or height. By making an object closer to the bottom of a page or top you can make space between the two.Form is bending and placing shapes together to craet a 3-D effect or other effects.
There are different types of colours. Primary colours which are Red, Blue, and yellow. Secondary colours are Orange, Green, and Violet. Complementary colours are made u out of Yellow to Violet, Red to green, and blue to orange. Then there are warm and cool colours. warm colours are orange yellow and red because they stand for warmth and cool colours are Green, Blue, and violet because they stand for cold.Lastly there are lines. Lines are the basics of all shapes without lines there’s no shapes. Lines can be straight or curved lines are everything!

Happy new years! Its time for a new year and I just got used to writing 2010 too. Anyways In a new year comes new years resolutions! Lots of people make new years resolutions that are out of reach or not in your control. So this year why not try making attainable goals. I made four resolutions one personal one, one for school, a local one, and a global goal.
My personal goal is to Take a jump on my Snowboard called the shocker,
my School goal is to finish this post, my local goal is to help clean up our community, and my global goal is to recycle more.

Out of all my favourite sports Snowboarding is number one. I like Snowboarding more than Skiing because it feels more natural for me and looks cool. I live right by a mountain called Mt. Washington. It’s not a bad mountain but its still not the best. It does have a terrain park there are two main jumps the Marge and the Shocker. I don’t usually take the Shocker but I have before.
My biggest wipe out on my snowboard was catching an edge and flying into a tree well and it took me like five minutes to get out!
So whats your biggest wipe out on Snowboards or Skis?

Many people think that angles are not a big part of life. The truth is angles are everywhere! In school and in your personal life, if you snowboard or even ski you are constantly using angles. Just think about switching edges. They’re 18o° turns. Things like gymnastics are all about angles. Flips are 360° and they are all sorts of rotations. I participate in Tae Kwon Do which uses a lot of spinning, diving, and flipping – more angles.
Our whole world is built off of angles especially right angles which are 90°, Acute angles which are less than 90°, and obtuse angles which are more than 90° and less than 180°. Reflex angles which are the outside measurement of an angle are more than 180° and less than 360°. Complementary angles are angles that add up to 90°, and supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180°. These last three types of angles are all less common but still very important.
You can measure angles with a tool called a protractor. Most protractors look like half a circle but sometimes you can find a Protractor that is a full crcle which makes it easier to measure reflex angles. In school we play lost of games that help us learn how to measure angles like Alien Angles, which is a very fun game. We also had to bring our own cameras to school and take pictures with them to put together the slide show below to show what we had learned with a small group.
Look around the room you’re in right now. What types of angles do you see?
Out of all the places in the world the main place that I want to travel to is Paris. I’ve heard the food is great and I want to see the Eiffel Tower. I’m not too sure but I heard there was a restaurant inside the Eiffel Tower and I think that would be pretty cool to eat in. Ever since I started learning about the world I’ve always been wishing to go to Paris. I also know that there are a lot of monuments and statues there so I would need to save up even more money for a camera.
Have any of you ever gone to Paris? Where would you want to go if you could go anywhere?
